Brought our 12 year old American Eskimo in for teeth cleaning. Staff was very nice and caring. While performing teeth cleaning Dr. discovered many teeth that needed to be removed. Dr. called and me and recommended removal of teeth. I was concerned with my dogs ability to chew her food, the Dr. assured me that she would have absolutely no problems eating, he had removed numerous teeth from several dogs over the years, and has never had problem with dogs ability to eat after tooth removal. Dr. made me comfortable in my decision to have teeth removed and assured me he would only remove the teeth that were really bad. I am happy I had procedure done, having those teeth removed has taken years off my dog. She is much spunkier due to removal of those teeth which probably caused pain and discomfort.
